Shire of Murray Notice of Differential Rating 2026/2027 In accordance with section 6.36 of the Local Government Act 1995, notice is hereby given to the ratepayers of the intention to levy the following differential rates for the 2026/2027 financial year as summarised below:

REMOVAL OF APPOINTMENT

The Shire has received an amended application for planning approval for an Outbuilding.

It is advised that on 19 May 2026 the Minister for Planning approved Amended No.322 to the Shire of Murray Local Planning Scheme No.4.

The Shire is seeking feedback on an amended Domestic Outbuildings Local Planning Policy.

The Shire is seeking feedback on a new Exemptions Local Planning Policy (Policy).

The Shire of Murray proposes to adopt a Local Planning Policy for Renewable Energy Facilities.

The Shire is seeking feedback on a new Unhosted Short-Term Rental Accommodation Local Planning Policy (Policy).

The Shire has received an application for development approval for an Unhosted Short Term Rental Accommodation (STRA) at 7 Marginata Crescent, Dwellingup.

The Shire of Murray hereby gives notice that it has received an application to lease a portion of the Dwellingup Trails and Visitor Centre on Reserve 30371, Lot 500 Marinup Street Dwellingup.

The Shire wishes to advise that Metropolitan Outer DAP (Development Assessment Panel) will be considering this proposal at its meeting to be held on at 9:30am on 12 May 2026.

The Shire of Murray will hold a Special Council Meeting at 9.00am on Thursday 14 May 2026 in the Shire of Murray Council Chambers, 1915 Pinjarra Road, Pinjarra.

It is hereby notified for public information that the Shire of Murray at the Ordinary Council Meeting held on 23 April 2025, resolved to revoke its Local Planning Policy – Bed and Breakfast Accommodation.

It is hereby notified for public information, in accordance with section 87 of the Planning and Development Act 2005 that the Minister for Planning approved the abovementioned amendment to the Shire of Murray local Planning Scheme No.4 on 8 April 2026.

The Shire of Murray has received an application for development approval for Proposed Motor Vehicle Wash, Service Station, Health Studio & Take-Away Food Outlet.

It is hereby notified for public information, in accordance with section 87 of the Planning and Development Act 2005 that the Minister for Planning approved the abovementioned amendment to the Shire of Murray local Planning Scheme No.4 on 17 March 2026.

The Shire has received a development application for a Childcare Centre at Lot 977 Nancarrow Way, Ravenswood.

APPOINTMENT OF BUSH FIRE CONTROL OFFICERS

The Shire of Murray is seeking comment on a proposal to rezone Lot 39 Lakes Road, North Dandalup from ‘Rural’ to ‘Special Rural’ as well as a Structure Plan demonstrating how a ‘Special Rural’ development could be delivered.

The Shire of Murray is seeking community comment on the draft Cooper’s Mill Reserve Foreshore Management Plan and associated Conservation Management Strategy.

The Shire of Murray is finalising the Edenvale Heritage Precinct Masterplan (Masterplan) and is seeking community feedback on the plan.

The Shire is currently preparing a new local planning policy to guide the future development of unhosted Short-Term Rental Accommodation (STRA), such as Airbnb, across the Shire.

At the Council Meeting held on 18 December 2025, the Shire of Murray resolved to revoke Lot 1881 and Lot 1901 Banksia Terrace (Reserve 26735), South Yunderup as a specified dog exercise area as indicated on the below map.
