The Shire of Murray offers workshops and events throughout the year to support local sport and recreation clubs. Topics are guided by club needs and may include governance, volunteer management, first aid, grant writing, inclusion and more.

The Shire of Murray has multiple grants available for the community to apply for, which support both eligible not-for-profit organisations and eligible Shire of Murray residents.

Supports community projects that create long-term benefits for Western Australians. Clubs should check eligibility before applying.

Clubs looking for fundraising ideas can access practical resources to help raise money for equipment, uniforms, events, travel and club projects.

Gaming applications | LGIRS

Information for clubs and community groups planning raffles, bingo, lotteries or other gaming-style fundraising activities. Clubs should check whether a permit or approval is required before running these activities.

Kidsport

KidSport helps eligible Western Australian children aged 5 to 18 participate in community sport by providing financial assistance towards club fees. To be eligible, the child must be registering with a KidSport approved club and be listed on a valid Services Australia Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card with a Customer Reference Number.

Clubs can support families by promoting KidSport before each season, keeping club details up to date in the KidSport Portal and accepting voucher codes as part of the registration process.
