The Shire is seeking feedback on a new Exemptions Local Planning Policy (Policy).
The Exemptions Policy aims to introduce exemptions for minor development works that are not considered to have any substantial amenity impacts. This includes:
- Water tanks in rural residential areas;
- Patios and similar structures in rural residential areas; and
- Minor Works and additions to Caravans or Park Homes.
The objectives of the draft Policy are:
- To streamline and support development within the Shire of Murray by exempting low impact categories of development.
- To provide flexibility for minor works that align with the existing and desired context envisioned in Local Planning Scheme No.4 (LPS4) and the other elements of the local planning framework.
Documents relating to the proposal are available here or alternatively at:
- the Shire of Murray Administration Office, 1915 Pinjarra Road, Pinjarra
- the Murray Library, cnr Pinjarra Road and Forrest Street, Pinjarra.
