Introduction to Guardianship and Administration

About this workshop:
This online workshop is designed for families who are new to guardianship and administration and want to understand what happens when a young person approaches 18 years of age and beyond.
The session will explore common questions and concerns families experience during this transition period and provide practical information to support informed decision making.

This workshop will cover a range of topics, including:
• What is Guardianship? What are the Authorities?
• What is Administration?
• Whether you should you apply, and what options are available?
• Power of Attorney and Enduring Power of Guardianship
• What is legal capacity and decision making disability?
• The State Administrative Tribunal (SAT)
• and much more!

Workshop participants will receive a digital resource about making decisions after turning 18.
