Shire of Murray Local Planning Scheme No.4
Pinjarra Planning Framework
The Shire of Murray is proposing to refresh the Pinjarra Planning Framework and is seeking community feedback on the Framework's draft direction and vision.
The Framework explores how Pinjarra can grow thoughtfully to reach its fullest potential. This includes a Pinjarra District Structure Plan (DSP), Pinjarra Precinct Structure Plan (PSP) and an amendment to Local Planning Scheme No. 4 (LPS4).
- The Pinjarra District Structure Plan considers the entire Pinjarra townsite and articulates how it can grow in a well-coordinated manner.
- The Pinjarra Precinct Structure Plan focuses on central Pinjarra and provides detailed guidance on development and subdivision.
- Amendment 322 (standard amendment) to Local Planning Scheme No.4 will update the Shire’s Local Planning Scheme No.4 to ensure consistency with the broader framework. This includes:
- Rezoning various lots in the Pinjarra town centre to a new ‘Centre’ zone and a new ‘Mixed-Use’ Zone
- Providing an R-AC0 R-Coding to all lots within the Pinjarra town centre
- Providing a restricted use overlay to land in the Murray River Floodway, and
- Updating the scheme text to be more consistent with the Model Scheme Text.
The Shire is offering an array of opportunities to provide feedback.
