Due to expected severe weather conditions, the Pinjarra Festival cannot go ahead on Sunday 31 May, 2026. The event will still go ahead as planned on Saturday 30 May from 10am – 4pm.
The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting heavy rainfall and damaging winds across the Peel region from Saturday night, continuing through Sunday. Based on this advice and a briefing with emergency services, the Shire considers it necessary to prioritise the safety of stallholders, volunteers, contractors and attendees.
While it was an extremely hard decision to make, the Shire believes this is the responsible choice.
The Pinjarra Festival is Murray’s largest, free community event and is a highlight in the Shire’s event calendar. There are many people involved in the successful delivery of the event.
The Shire sends its sincerest gratitude to all involved in the planning, preparation for day one of the 2026 event, and thanks vendors and event sponsors for their ongoing support. We look forward to welcoming the community for a fantastic day on Saturday.
We also thank the community for its understanding and encourage participation in the following activities, which will continue as planned:
