Wordplay Workshop

Wednesday 7th January 2026
(Multiple Dates Between Wednesday 7th January 2026 & Wednesday 21st January 2026)

Unlock your creativity, find your voice, and level up your confidence this January with the Wordplay Workshop, a high-energy hip-hop–inspired program created by Perth rap artist and empowerment facilitator Slade Moore.

Designed as a fun, safe, and expressive space, Wordplay helps young people explore talking, writing, freestyling, rhythm, and performance in a way that feels exciting, modern, and deeply empowering. Through rapping, rhyming, and songwriting, participants discover their authentic voice while building real-life skills that stick.

Attend one session or all three — but here’s why all three are recommended

You’re welcome to join any single workshop, but attending the full three-session series gives young people the biggest transformation.

Each session builds upon the last; the skills taught in Wordplay develop through repetition, practice, confidence-building, and returning each week with what participants learned or created previously. With every session, students deepen their:

        • Self-confidence & public speaking

        • Improvisation ability

        • Creative writing & lyrical technique

        • Communication & collaboration skills

        • Authentic self-expression

By the end of the third workshop, participants will have:
✔ One or more original poems or raps
✔ Rehearsed and refined their work multiple times
✔ Noticeably stronger confidence
✔ New creative techniques they can continue using long after the program ends
✔ A supportive group of peers cheering them on

The nature of these skills can take a lifetime to master, attending all three workshops gives young people the best chance to grow, improve, and truly experience the power of creative self-expression.

Special January Bonus

Attend all three sessions (7, 14 & 21 Jan) and receive FREE passes to the Indoor Pool Inflatable at MALC!
