Pasture-Based Poultry Workshop
Tuesday 2nd September 2025
The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) is holding a series of free poultry biosecurity workshops in September for pasture-based poultry producers.
The half-day (9am-1pm) workshops are being held in Nannup, Bullsbrook, Pinjarra and Mt Barker.
The workshops will focus on biosecurity actions pasture-based poultry businesses can take to keep their flocks healthy and reduce the risk of a range of diseases, including avian influenza.
By the end of the workshop, pasture-based poultry owners will have the first draft of a biosecurity plan tailored to their property, a suite of biosecurity information and a farm biosecurity gate sign to take home. Local DPIRD field veterinarians will also be on-hand to assist and answer poultry biosecurity questions.
Morning tea and lunch are provided.
To find out more or attend a workshop, please visit the DPIRD page on Eventbrite to register and provide your dietary requirements.
