Come and Try Outrigger Canoeing on the Murray River

About the session
Experience the calm, beauty, and teamwork of paddling on the Murray River. Guided by volunteers from the Kwillana Va’a Outrigging Canoe Club, you’ll learn basic technique, work together as a crew, and enjoy a safe, social introduction to this unique sport. All equipment and safety gear provided. It is recommended that participants be able to swim 25 metres.

Session times

10am - 11am

11am-12pm

12pm- 1pm

1pm-2pm

Please arrive 10 minutes early to sign in and get fitted for gear. Children under 16 must be supervised by a caregiver.

What to bring
Comfortable clothes that can get a little wet, hat, sunscreen, and a refillable water bottle.

Access & photos
Assistance available for getting in/out of canoes; paddling can be adapted for partial limb mobility. Note: sandy shoreline may limit wheelchair access.
