This pottery wheel course is designed for beginners (intermediates welcome), and with only five participants per course, you’ll receive personal instruction at every stage — from centering your first piece on the wheel to beautifully finished ceramics, glazed and fired by Minky's Pottery. Collection 2 - 4 weeks after course finish date.
You won’t be left to “figure it out”, each session offers hands-on guidance so you can create pieces you’ll treasure for years.
The Barn is surrounded by open lawn, trees and birdsong, this is more than a class — it’s a creative escape.
From Clay to Beautiful Pottery
Over four weeks you’ll be guided through:
- Wedging, Centering and Opening
- Cylinder and bowl shapes
- Trimming and refining
- Surface texture/patterns, Painting with underglazes
Skills are introduced progressively, allowing confidence and craftsmanship to grow naturally each week.
