Humphrey Park - Pinjarra Proposed Upgrade (Closed)

Project type Facility development/park upgrade
Project value $130,000 plus

The project proposes to upgrade Humphrey Park in Pinjarra, to increase the appeal and facilities, for residents and visitors.

The park upgrade aims to further develop the recent improvements to the park which were completed as part of the subdivision development to the south west corner, including planted stormwater basin and concrete paths connecting to the street footpaths.

Proposals include:

  • Facilities for local residents, including a playspace and picnic area; and
  • Improvements to the amenity and accessibility of the park, with additional access and seating
  • Tree planting and revegetation of the central area, to improve the natural environment.
  • Retaining all existing trees and large lawn areas as shown on the plan.

Drainage works to improve the existing drainage system within the road and east side of the park will also be undertaken.

Funding

The project has a $130,000 budget allocation as part of the 2023-2024 capital works program.

It is expected that completion of the proposed playspace may be dependent on the Shire successfully sourcing external funding, through Lotterywest or similar.
