We are seeking an innovative, forward-thinking and dynamic leader with a keen interest in Stakeholder Engagement, Strategic Planning, Place and Destination Development, Visitor Services and Operations and Events and Place Activation

Reporting to the Director Community and Economic Development you will play a crucial role in the operations of the Shire of Murray, driving initiatives that shape our region’s future while preserving its unique character and natural assets.

What you'll bring to the table…

The successful candidate will have:

  • Highly effective communication, consultation, negotiation, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Developed knowledge and experience in local and regional economic initiatives and business development including understanding of trends, issues and opportunities relating to local economic conditions.
  • Previous supervision or management experience in sales, customer service, tourism and/or visitor servicing.
  • Qualifications and/or at least 4 years practical experience in relevant and/or similar role.
