Community Facility Fund

Assists Murray not-for-profit organisations to upgrade, extend or construct well-planned sport, recreation and community facilities that contribute to a vibrant, inclusive and healthy Murray.

Applications are invited once per year: Opening on Tuesday 1st August, 2023 and closing Monday 30 October, 2023.

A maximum amount of $20,000 is available per community group or organisation, per annum.

Eligible projects include:

  • New buildings
  • Building additions, improvements and/or major refurbishments
  • Supporting infrastructure – e.g. fixed shelters or storage sheds
  • New sporting infrastructure – e.g. fixed goals or cricket nets
  • Forward planning, feasibility studies and needs analysis

  • Project brief will be reviewed by relevant Shire Officers
  • Feedback will be provided to the applicant
  • Grant application will be sent to complete

Prepare Supporting Documents/Information

  • Committee minutes supporting the decision for the grant application*
  • Certificate of Currency for Public Liability*
  • Copy of your organisation's most recent bank statement and/or most recent financial statement*
  • Quotes for all budget items*
  • Strategic or business plan
  • Letters of support from other groups/organisations
  • Relevant drawings, plans specifications and/or maps
  • Relevant strategic planning documents (web links accepted)
