Community Facility Fund

This funding helps not-for-profit organisations upgrade, extend or construct well-planned sport, recreation and community facilities that contribute to a vibrant, inclusive and healthy Murray.

Applications are invited once per year.

A maximum of $20,000 is available per community group or organisation, per annum.

How to apply

Step 1 - Consider your project 

Eligible projects include:

  • New buildings.
  • Building additions, improvements and/or major refurbishments.
  • Supporting infrastructure, such as fixed shelters or storage sheds.
  • New sporting infrastructure, such as fixed goals or cricket nets.
  • Forward planning, feasibility studies and needs analysis.

Step 3 - Complete the project brief 

A project brief must be completed and sent to mailbag@murray.wa.gov.au before submitting an application form. 

We will review the project brief, provide feedback and send you the grant application to complete. 

Step 4 - Prepare documentation

The following documents are mandatory for your application:

  • Committee minutes supporting the decision for the grant application
  • Certificate of Currency for Public Liability
  • Copy of your organisation's most recent bank statement and/or most recent financial statement
  • Quotes for all budget items.

These documents are optional, but may help your application:

  • Strategic or business plan
  • Letters of support from other groups/organisations
  • Relevant drawings, plans specifications and/or maps
  • Relevant strategic planning documents (website links accepted).
