The Shire of Murray has awarded Orez Solutions Pty Ltd. the tender for the supply and installation of a moving floor and compactor at Corio Road Transfer Station.
Waste management is an important service for a local government and with works progressing, dropping off waste will now be easier with the installation of a moving floor and compactor at the Corio Road Transfer Station.
Waste was previously dropped into skip bins over a gate, making it difficult when the items are large or heavy.
The moving floor allows for waste to be easily transitioned from the back of a ute or trailer onto a moving floor with the removal of the gates, where it is then compacted into skip bins.
As well as being more convenient and user-friendly for residents, it dramatically reduces transport costs for the Shire as compacted waste can be transported more efficiently.
This project falls within the Shire’s priority focus area of ‘Planet’ and supports the community’s aspiration where Murray’s natural environment is cared for and appreciated.
