Keep your Home Snake Free

Snakes become more active in Spring and Summer as they leave their winter retreats in search of a mate and food.

Snakes are an integral part of the natural environment and play an important role in wildlife ecosystems, but you can take precautions to keep them away from your house by:

  • Removing long grass and items lying on the ground such as corrugated iron, which may provide shelter for snakes
  • Reduce mice around the house
