Proposed Coastal Hazard Risk Management and Adaptation Plan

A Coastal Hazard Risk Management and Adaptation Plan for the Shire of Murray will be prepared in the coming months. The Plan will investigate the potential coastal and riverine hazards/risks associated with factors such as erosion and inundation as well as identify necessary short and long term actions.

Draft Scope of Works

A draft scope of works has been prepared which will form part of a Request for Tender from suitably qualified and experienced specialist consultants to assist with the preparation of the Plan.

Steering Group Committee

A steering group has been formed to assist with the preparation of the Plan. The Shire is seeking two community members to join this group to ensure the Plan aligns with community expectations.

Application forms and copies of the draft scope of works are available at the Shire of Murray Administration Office, 1915 Pinjarra Road and at the Murray Library, cnr Pinjarra Road and Forrest Street, Pinjarra. Alternatively, the documents can be viewed and downloaded online at murray.wa.gov.au via the ‘Public Consultation’ link.

Written submissions concerning the draft scope of works as well as steering group committee application forms should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Shire of Murray, PO Box 21, Pinjarra WA 6208. Emailed submissions should be sent to mailbag@murray.wa.gov.au.
