The addition of a playground at the North Pinjarra Recreation Precinct, which includes the Community Hall and Oval, is better establishing the amenity as a go-to asset for North Pinjarra residents.
The Shire of Murray and North Pinjarra Progress Association collaborated to identify key projects that would improve facilities in the area and the addition of the playground was one of the priority outcomes for residents.
The new amenity will feature:
- Play equipment: two slides, several swings, monkey bars, spider webs and other climbing apparatus
- Upgraded path network
The new feature is set to strengthen community ties and provide an outlet for local children.
The playground will be officially opened in April.
The project has been made possible through funding from the Australian Government’s Stronger Communities Program, Alcoa and the Shire of Murray.
