Kick off summer on a festive note when Edenvale Homestead rings out the joyful sound of carols during Murray’s annual Christmas Celebration on Wednesday 4 December, 2019.
The popular, free community event offers two and a half hours of family fun and entertainment, running from 5:00pm to 7:30pm.
The evening’s festivities will include the crowd favourite carols segment, roving entertainment and Santa and his helpers will make a special appearance at 6:30pm to meet and greet the younger attendees.
The kids will also be able to enjoy free face-painting and craft activities.
Dinner is sorted with offerings from a line-up of food trucks and local vendors and there will be an array of boutique market stalls to browse.
Attendees can then settle into their picnic spots for the 2019 feature act – Living Hope, who will draw the event to a harmonious close.
According to Shire President Cr. David Bolt, Christmas isn’t only a festival, it’s a feeling, and one that the Shire invites all to enjoy.
“Murray’s annual Christmas Celebration offers entertainment for all ages and is a highlight on the Shire’s event calendar.
“Residents are encouraged to bring their picnic rugs or chairs and head to the 2019 Murray Community Christmas Celebration,” Cr. Bolt said.
The 2019 Christmas Celebration has been relocated to Edenvale Homestead due to Murray River Square and adjacent foreshore redevelopment works, which are on track for completion by mid 2020.
The 2019 event is proudly supported by Alcoa, Lotterywest, Pinjarra Community Bank Branch and the Shire of Murray.
