About This Location
The origins of Pinjarra’s Exchange Hotel date back to the 1860s when there was an exchange of property between early settlers, James Rummer Greenacre and Dr Bedingfield, which gives light the name the “Exchange Hotel”. Greenacre bought town blocks that Bedingfield had previously purchased and built the Exchange Hotel.
The latter took over the lease of what was Queen’s Hotel, and turned it into a private residence. Today, it is now closed for business and will be redeveloped at a later date.
