The Shire of Murray has a variety of Community facilities available for hire. The facilities range in size and functionality from small meeting rooms to large halls capable of holding 300 people, and sporting ovals for sporting and other events. Events where no Alcohol or Food will be served and will have 100 or less attendees.
- Events requiring Alcohol or Food permits or events that will have more than 100 attendees.
- These type of bookings must be submitted at least 6 weeks in advance.
- Special Events may require more information to be submitted. An officer of the Shire will get in contact with the customer to inform them of this additional requirements.
Note: A booking is not confirmed until approved and payment received.
Creating Accessible Events
The Shire of Murray encourages all event organisers to consider accessibility when planning public events.
The Disability Services Commission provides a range of information that should be used when planning an event to ensure that events can be enjoyed by all people from all walks of life and abilities.
Everyone benefits when access is better, including other attendees, people making deliveries, people with heavy baggage, young children, those with prams and many older people.
