Date(s) - 25/04/2020
5:55 am - 6:30 am
Pay tribute to fallen, past and present servicemen and women by joining the nationwide Driveway Dawn Service, this Anzac Day.
At 5:55am meet on your driveway with candles in hand and tune in to ABC Radio to hear The Ode, The Last Post and join in the minute’s silence.
As an alternative to laying a wreath, dress your front yard, windows and/or mailboxes with poppies.
The RSLWA are encouraging all Aussies to get creative in a show of mateship this Anzac Day – we will remember them!
A traditional gunfire breakfast, which this year will have to be enjoyed at home, is an Anzac Day tradition that further honours the fallen and unites the living. During the meal raise a mug to diggers.
Tune into a special commemorative service at 6.30am on the RSLWA web page or the RSLWA Facebook page, featuring addresses by the Governor of Western Australia, the Honourable Kim Beazley, Senator Linda Reynolds, Premier Mark McGowan and RSLWA State President Peter Aspinall.
