
In March, 2019 the Shire successfully secured $3.5 million through the Australian Government’s Building Better Regions Fund to develop the Dwellingup Adventure Trails.
This funding along with $5 million from the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions will see the delivery of:
- 38km of quality mountain bike trails
- Realignment of the Munda Biddi Trail
- Upgrades to the Captain Fawcett 4WD track
- Road improvements in Lane Poole Reserve
- Marketing, branding and promotion
- 80m suspension bridge from Baden Powell Reserve to the Murray South MTB circuit
- Pop up cafe and hire facilities at Baden Powell Reserve
Works Complete to Date:
- Additional 11kms of new trails including 6kms of cross country trails with options for all levels
- 5km realignment of the Munda Biddi from existing fire roads, creating a purpose-built single track from Murray Valley Road to Nanga Mill
