Summer kicked off on a festive note with hundreds of families visiting Cantwell Park, Pinjarra on Wednesday 5 December to merrily ring-in the festive season.
According to Shire President Cr. David Bolt, the 2018 Murray Community Christmas Celebration offered attendees two and a half hours of family fun and entertainment.
“While carolling is always the highlight of the evening, the Celebration’s younger attendees especially enjoyed the meet and greet with Santa as well as the complimentary face painting,” Cr. Bolt said.
The Eco Faeries kicked off the evening’s festivities with their Faerie Merry Christmas Show and further entertained the kids with their roving acts. Free craft activities were also on offer.
Dinner was sorted with a variety of choices from local vendors and a line-up of food trucks and guests were able to browse the boutique selection of market stalls.
The Mandurah Murray Ulysses Group was in attendance to promote their annual charity ride taking place on Saturday 8 December.
Bikes will depart Sir Ross McLarty Oval at 9:30am, toward the finish line at Mandurah’s Western Foreshore.
