I live with my family in Yunderup and we can’t imagine living anywhere else. We love living in such a friendly community, engaging in local activities and spending time with people in the neighbourhood. I work as a teacher of students with additional needs and currently sit on the School Council. I will use my experience in communication and negotiation to advocate for sensible solutions to local issues and for ensuring your rates work for you. I support an increase to community safety and security, increasing quality public open space, and the provision of efficient services and programs catering for all age groups from children to seniors. I’d love to make a greater contribution to our community by listening to your ideas and helping to turn them into reality.
The interests of the community are most important. I believe the future of the Shire of Murray lies with the young people who are the future leaders. At the same time the seniors in the community have experience and expertise that is valuable to all those in the community. The environment and the productive rural land for agriculture with the innovative industries at Nambeelup as well as small businesses, the arts, heritage, and tourism are all important to the sustainability of the Shire of Murray. I have always endeavoured to keep and will continue to regard the community as extremely important.
Serving on Council for the last 2 years it has been an honour to be part of such a diverse and enthusiastic team of Councillors and I'm now seeking re-election.
I have lived in the Shire all my life currently living in Coolup with my wife and children where I farm cattle. I will listen to community and business needs to ensure that we strategically plan future development and facilities within our Shire. I'm focused on promoting our Shire as a tourism destination and believe we must protect the health of our rivers and estuary systems for locals and visitors alike.
I will promote local businesses and projects that create employment for local people. With some exciting projects already started and planned I'm now asking for your support in representing you for another term as Councillor.

I live on Cooleenup Island in the Murray River delta on a property that was bequeathed to our grandfather, Dr Frank Gill, in 1927. "West Murray" was a source of great joy for our parents and we had many wonderful family holidays from a very early age.
