The North Dandalup Reserve Master Plan(PDF, 3MB), developed in consultation with the community and stakeholders, will ensure the delivery of a fit-for-purpose community facility, that prioritises locals' needs while accommodating visitor requirements.

Outcomes include:

  • Recreational facility upgrades/additions – playspace and picnic/barbecue area – Installed mid-2022
  • New play items were selected by local community members and include a large multi-play unit and basket swing for older children and for youngsters a train climbing unit with slide and a 4-swing set.
  • Green space to oval for community use including play and informal sports
    • Bore upgrade completed - August 2022.
    • Plans for irrigation installation and turf improvements – early to mid-2023
  • Community and tourist facilities – toilet, RV parking and tourist information
    • New accessible toilet installed to the playground side of the carpark for easy access, with accessible path from the improved gravel carpark by the Hall – installed August 2022.
    • Existing old toilet block to be demolished by end of 2022
    • Tourism signage – to be developed as a component of the Shire’s Signage Strategy
  • Outdoor exercise equipment – designed, to be installed by mid-2022 (additional $ funding, community-sourced grant)
  • Sporting equipment – multi-court/ courts, upgrade of practice cricket wickets – investigations and quotations underway late 2022 to be progressed during 2023.
