Upgrades abound as new grants awarded

We know our community loves to hear about the plans and vision for the future in the Shire of Murray.

And there’s been a lot of good news about new projects and developments in recent weeks:

• New funding for seniors housing in Dwellingup
• Not-for-profit grants announced
• $200M of funding towards the Pinjarra Heavy Haulage Deviation
• The Food Innovation Precinct tripling the size of grants available

We’re happy to report that there’s more good news for the Shire as we were successful in securing almost a million dollars of grants from Lotterywest. The money will be used on infrastructure projects providing opportunities for the community to come together, to connect, engage and stay active:

So, the three projects that will be better in the future as a result are:

• A multi-use community space at McLarty South Pavilion
• Playground equipment, shade and picnic facilities at Cantwell Park (you can read more about those plans here)
• Floodlights and upgrades to the Dwellingup Skate Park
