Not-for-profit funds available now

Published on 04 April 2022

Financial assistance is currently available for not-for-profits seeking to build and strengthen organisational capacity, deliver community beneficial initiatives and/or services and contribute to the vibrancy, inclusivity and health of the Murray community. There are three streams of funding currently available:

  1. The Community Assistance Partnership Fund (round 3)

This is a partnership between Alcoa and the Shire of Murray and we are inviting applications until 30 April, 2022 for projects commencing mid-June, 2022.

  2. The Alcoa Dwellingup Community Assistance Scheme

If your activation or program is being held in Dwellingup this scheme aims to assist community-based organisations to build a vibrant, inclusive and healthy Dwellingup community.  Applications are open all year round and must be received at least 4 weeks prior to the event or programme.

  3. The Community Sponsorship Fund
For individuals and sporting clubs this fund supports those residing within the Shire of Murray with travel or accommodation expenses incurred in representing their sport, recreation or academic field either individually or as a team at State, National or International level.

Projects need to align with the Shire’s Murray 2031 Strategic Community Plan, by fulfilling a community need whilst supporting the district’s strategic direction.

Funding applications can be submitted for multiple projects and in multiple rounds providing the grant request total does not exceed the $3,000 limit per group each year.

Previous funding saw projects such as the Dwellingup CWA Hall (pictured) given a fresh coat of paint and $3000 for new inclusive toys and an outdoor shade sail for the Murray Toy Library.

The Shire is proud to support local not-for-profit organisations, associations and groups because they are integral contributors to the local economy and play an important role in enhancing and bolstering community spirit and pride.
