Jacaranda Tree

We invite the public to The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Tree Planting on Friday October 21st at 3:00pm, held at the Pinjarra War Memorial, followed by light refreshments at the Pinjarra RSL.

We will be planting a jacaranda tree at the Pinjarra War Memorial with a commemorative plaque in honour of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II’s 70 years of service.

The planting is part of the 'Planting Trees for The Queen's Jubilee' program which is taking place across Australia over the next three years. The objective of the program is to mark the significant occasion of the Queen’s Jubilee through community tree planting events.

The community tree planting events are happening across Australia to increase community awareness and commemoration of Her Majesty’s Jubilee, create a legacy of tree plantings across the nation, and increase the area of tree canopy throughout the country.

Other similar initiatives have occurred across the Commonwealth to mark the Jubilee such as the ‘Plant a Tree for the Jubilee’ initiative in the United Kingdom.
