Kick start summer and the festive season with a balmy evening at Pinjarra’s Edenvale Heritage Precinct on Wednesday 1 December, 2021 for Murray’s annual Community Christmas Celebration.

The much-loved, free community event offers two and a half hours of family fun and entertainment, running from 5:00pm to 7:30pm.

The evening's festivities will include the crowd favourite carols segment performed by The Godlemans and Murray Music and Drama Club, plus roving entertainment and a special visit from Santa and his helpers to meet and greet the younger attendees.

The littlies will also be able to enjoy free face-painting, Christmas craft, petting zoo snuggles and a magical Eco Faeries performance.

An exclusive Youth Zone will be set up for attendees aged between 12 and 25, including a bucking bull, chill-out zone and skateboard art display.

Grab a bite to eat or a treat from Maxs Cold Ice Creations, Pinjarra Lions Club (sausage sizzle), Black Velvet and Honey - Mobile Coffee or Edenvale Heritage Tea Rooms, or wander down the main street to one of the local vendors.

Joining in the celebrations will be Roger May Machinery Museum, Pinjarra Art Hub Artisan Shop, Liveringa Gallery and The Barn, who will be open for visitors to explore throughout the evening.

Attendees can then settle into their picnic spots for the 2021 feature act – Living Hope, who will draw the event to a harmonious close.

According to Shire President Cr. David Bolt, Christmas is a wonderful time of the year, one that the Shire invites all to enjoy.

“Murray’s annual Christmas Celebration offers entertainment for all ages and is a fabulous, feel-good community get together.

“Residents are encouraged to bring their picnic rugs or chairs and celebrate the first night of summer enjoying the sights and sounds of the 2021 Murray Community Christmas Celebration,” Cr. Bolt said.

Due to Pinjarra Suspension Bridge refurbishment works, the 2021 Christmas Celebration is being hosted at Edenvale Heritage Precinct. It is anticipated that next year’s Celebration will return to the revamped Murray River Square and Foreshore, following the completion of works.

The 2021 event is proudly supported by Alcoa, Doral and the Shire of Murray.
