Acknowledge an Outstanding Volunteer in the Shire of Murray
Published on 01 May 2023
Submissions for the Shire of Murray’s 2023 Volunteer Awards are now open.
The awards are an opportunity to acknowledge the thousands of Murray residents who give up their time through formal and informal volunteering to better their community.
The awards, supported by Lotterywest and VolunteeringWA, recognise the contribution made by those people. They will be held as part of National Volunteer Week in the middle of May at the Edenvale Heritage Precinct in Pinjarra.
To acknowledge the valuable contribution of longstanding volunteers within community organisations, the Shire of Murray will award a Certificate of Appreciation to those who have reached a 10-year or 20-year milestone. Submissions are also encouraged for Outstanding Contributions by a volunteer.
Shire President Cr. David Bolt said, “We are grateful to have thousands of volunteers in the Shire who dedicate their time and services to support and connect our community.”
“It is important that we take the opportunity to thank them for their efforts. I encourage you to nominate those who deserve recognition as community volunteers, and look forward to celebrating their achievements at the Volunteer VIP Function on May 18th”.
