Rangers
Rangers are Fire Control Officers, providing administration of the Bush Fires Act 1954 and Regulations and public education and advice on fire prevention and bush fire awareness. They also: - Fire Control on Corio Rd, Pinjarra
- Enforce the provisions of the Bush Fires Act 154 & Regulations
- Administer the preparation of the annual Bush Fire Notice
- Review annual restricted and prohibited burning periods
- Undertake property compliance inspections
- Liaise with Fire & Emergency Services Authority of WA (FESA) and
- Department of Conversation and Land management (CALM)
- Administer Council's (5) Volunteer Bush Fire Brigades
- Administer Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade
- Oversee purchase and maintenance of brigade equipment and infrastructure
- Oversee the purchase and replacement of the Fire Appliance fleet
