Environmental Planning
The Shire of Murray is committed to protecting and improving our environment through the promotion of environmentally sustainable practices.
The Environmental Officers undertake environmental audits and assessment of subdivision and development applications, and provide advice to Council on a range of environmental matters.
The position also involves strong liaison with community groups, Land Conservation District Committees (LCDC's), and other Government agencies on specific natural resource management issues.

The Environmental Officers are currently promoting initiatives to reduce water consumption, whilst improving the water quality of the waterways, within the Shire. Recycling initiatives include the collection of mobile phones.
