The Building Services Department is responsible for maintaining the standard of construction within the Shire by issuing approvals and undertaking inspections for the following new structures:

• Dwellings
• Outbuildings
• Additions
• Retaining Walls
• Swimming Pools
• Commercial Buildings
• Demolition Licences
• Relocated Dwellings & Buildings
• Park Homes & Additions
• Maintenance of Council Owned Buildings - Assess and programme maintenance to Council owned buildings (eg. Pinjarra Civic Centre, Murray Districts Recreation Centre, Edenvale, etc)
