Local Governments are now required to collect the Emergency Services Levy on behalf of the Fire and Emergency Services Authority and as such, the Town includes this on its rate account and itemises it separately.

The levy will fund the Fire and Rescue Service, Local Governments Bush Fire Brigades, the State Emergency Service and the new multi-function FESA units.
