Nominations are open for the Shire’s 2017 Volunteer Awards which will be held during the annual Volunteer Sundowner and Awards event in May.
The event is held to celebrate the work of volunteers across the Shire of Murray.
Certificate of Appreciation Nominations
To recognise the valuable contribution of longstanding volunteers within community organisations, the Shire of Murray will award a Certificate of Appreciation to volunteers who have reached a 10 year or 20 year milestone.
Community organisations are encouraged to nominate longstanding volunteers for a Certificate of Appreciation.
Certificates of Appreciation categories:
- Recognition of 10 years’ volunteer service to community
- Recognition of 20 years’ volunteer service to community
To nominate a longstanding volunteer for a Certificate of Appreciation, complete the Certificate of Appreciation Nomination Form.
2017 Volunteer Award Nominations
In order to ensure that Shire volunteers are recognised for their efforts and dedication, community groups and local sporting clubs are encouraged to nominate exceptional volunteers for the 2017 Shire of Murray Volunteer Awards.
Award categories include:
- Young Volunteer of the Year – for volunteers 25 and under.
- Volunteer of the Year – for volunteers over 25.
- Sport and Recreation Volunteer of the Year – new category
