Over the course of the festival, local bands Static Rock and 2 Tone music as well as the Amplifiers, captivated music lovers on the Lotterywest main stage and local youths Tiarna Maddison and Levi Steltman added further musical enlightenment as they busked at various location throughout the festival grounds.
Children were enthralled by circus performances and workshops, art and craft activities, show bags, amusements, laser tag and sand sculpting workshops.
The Farmyard Family Petting Zoo, camel and pony rides and face painting were highlights too.
For the shopaholics the festival accommodated over 100 market stalls while the foodies were spoilt for choice by the variety of food on offer from over 25 street food vendors.
A festival first saw cooking demonstrations added to the festival line up, to the foodies’ further delight.
Murray’s historical pastimes were also celebrated with a vintage car display, quilter’s exhibition and woodturning demonstrations. The Liveringa Art Gallery and Roger May Machinery Museum were open weekend long and attendees were able to try their hand at pottery.
The festival was a lively showcase of the vibrant and culturally rich elements of the Shire of Murray and celebrated the district’s distinctive rural history and lifestyle.
