Funding to Support Aboriginal Mental Health

Funding to Support Aboriginal Mental Health
December 19, 2017 Katie Dennison

Aboriginal Corporations, Aboriginal Not-for-Profit Groups, Community Services Organisations and Cultural Business Owners are invited to apply for funding through the Completing the Circle Grant to address mental health concerns for young Aboriginal people living in Murray.

Grants between $100 and $5,000 will be allocated across four categories linked to the Aboriginal Medicine Wheel to influence positive change in physical, mental, spiritual and emotional health.

Funding must benefit the majority of young Aboriginal people living in the community and will not be considered to support individuals.

Applications will be assessed by the WAPHA Aboriginal Project Panel (WAPP) on a monthly basis.  All projects must be executed and acquitted prior to 30 June, 2018.

For further information, contact the Community Development Officer at the Shire of Murray on 08 9531 7777 or via cdo@murray.wa.gov.au.
