NEW 4WD TRACK OFFICIALLY OPENED

On Saturday 17 May 2008 Hon David Templeman MLA officially opened the "Captain Fawcett Commemorative Track"
The launch of the new 4WD Track was held at the Fawcett family's historic Pinjarrah Park Homestead and the track follows the recreated journey of Captain Theodore Fawcett from Pinjarra, via the Murray and Hotham Rivers, to Marradong Creek.
Captain Fawcett, accompanied by William Pollard, set out from Pinjarra circa 1860, to open up more suitable farming land, eventually settling at what is now the Mokine Homestead.
Copies of the Fawcett Track Map are available from the Pinjarra Visitor Centre and the Dwellingup History and Visitor Centre.
