ETMYLIN TRAMWAY
When you arrive at Dwellingup station, you’ll sense you ‘re about to embark on a journey with a difference. Our historic train, will take you on a scenic forest journey along 8km of the states last surviving lightly built developmental railway, to Etmylin Siding.
An informative commentary is provided on the train and the journey is a leisurely 90 minutes, which includes a 30-minute stop at Etmylin for those wishing to enjoy the walk trail.
Etmylin was first established in the early 1920’s as a steam locomotive watering point with water coming down from a small dam and gravity fed to an overhead tank at the siding.
The walk trail is a small loop that features excellent examples of Jarrah, Blackbutt, Red Gum, Blackboy, Banksia and a variety of palms and ferns unique to this part of the forest.
