(Dasyurus geoffroii)
The nocturnal Chuditch is Western Australia's largest carnivorous marsupial. It feeds mostly on ground-dwelling insects and other invertebrates but will also eat small lizards, birds and mammals. The spotted pattern of its coat helps to break up its outline in the moonlight. During the day it sleeps in a burrow or hollow log.
Due to loss of habitat through land clearing and predation by feral predators such as foxes and cats, the Chuditch is vulnerable.
