(Perca fluviatilis)

Redfin perch, introduced to WA in the 1890s, tolerate hot conditions better and breed freely in the wild. Please do not return redfin to the water, as culling small fish can reduce competition for food, allowing trout to grow larger and faster and improving the quality of fishing.

o No size limit or daily bag limit for redfin perch
o Redfin perch are major predators of juvenile marron and, if caught, should not be returned to the water.
