If you live in regional Western Australia, work in agriculture or aquaculture and you have a new idea, invention, technology or practice that you want to investigate, you may be eligible for the WA Government’s Agriculture and Aquaculture Entrepreneurship Program.
The program offers scholarships of up to $30,000 which can be used for travel to research international or Australian best practice, as well as for local commercialisation, testing and training.
Successful projects are expected to offer a commercial benefit to WA businesses and an economic return to WA if the innovation is adopted (such as jobs growth or industry development in regional areas).
A third round of funding was announced on 27 February, 2018 by Hon. Dave Kelly MLA, Minister for Science and Hon. Alannah MacTiernan MLC, Minister for Regional Development.
You can find out more about the program and how to apply here or by taking part in an information session.
To register for an information session email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Applications are due by 12:00pm Tuesday 3 April, 2018.
