Collection Times
Rubbish collection for residences within the Shire of Murray commences at 6:00am Monday to Friday. It is important for rubbish bins to be placed on your verge in the correct position before 6.00am on the collection morning. If your rubbish bin is not ready for pickup by 6.00am on the morning of your pickup, the collection vehicle may not be available to return to your property at a later time.

Other Waste Services Provided by the Shire of Murray
In a commitment to sustainability, the Shire of Murray delivers a number of other waste services, with collections points at:

Murray Public Library – Forrest Road, Pinjarra

Dry Cell Battery Recycling
Batteries contain renewable minerals and metals. Separating batteries from your ordinary household rubbish will ensure these precious resources are recycled, and can be reused in a range of products rather than go to waste.
Mobile Muster
The official recycling program for the mobile phone industry across the nation, Mobile Muster dismantles the mobiles from a Melbourne base, with various parts recycled for other uses including materials within mobile batteries used for the production of stainless steel, and recycled plastics used for fence posts and pallets.
Ink Cartridges
In partnership with Planet Ark, the Shire of Murray can receive your ink cartridges for recycling. Materials within the cartridges including plastics, metals and inks can be reused within many different products.
