Camping in the Shire

The Shire manages a dedicated camping ground at Herron Point Reserve located on the Harvey Estuary. Access to the reserve is from Herron Point Road.
Camping is permitted for a maximum of two nights, and fees are applicable. Toilets, shade shelters and a gas barbeque are provided. However there is no portable water.
Camp fires and off road vehicles are prohibited and dogs are required to be on a leash. A caretaker manages the site and users are required to follow directions and obey the local rules.
The Shire provides an area for caravans and motor homes to stay overnight for a maximum of one night on Pinjarra - Williams Road in Pinjarra. Further information on this site can be obtained by contacting the Pinjarra Visitors Centre on 9531 1438.
Camping Locations
The Department of Environment and Conservation offer camping locations in the eastern portion of the district at both Lane Poole and Marrinup.

Camping on public land, reserves or private land without consent is prohibited under the Caravan and Camping Grounds Act 1995 and fines can be issued. When camping in the district please ensure you respect the local environment and take your rubbish home.
